Esparina EC [1]

May 9, 2014

The living area has a slight country feel as a result of the TV console integrated with CraftStone feature wall. The back of the wall was structurally reinforced and fixed with a layer of wall panel to hide the suspended TV’s electrical wirings and cabling. In the study room, the work table is integrated with a sturdy full-height storage to stash away the doctor couple’s thick medical books. It also features a piece of glass whiteboard handy for important notes and messages.

A 5.4 metre-high CraftStone wall was done up at the stairwell of a duplex apartment and an old Vespa scooter head spray-painted baby-blue by the owner was mounted on it, turning up the cool-factor by several notches. Special light fittings were also installed at the Vespa’s headlights to illuminate the stairwell in the dark.

PRIVE EC [2]

March 31, 2014

An interesting concept about this EC is the way the walls are painted. The top halves of the walls are whitewashed to create a higher ceiling depth, while the female homeowner chose her favourite pastel colours for the bottom halves of the walls. However, this unique two-tone feminine effect is perfectly complemented by more rugged-looking furniture. The resulting soothing style successfully portrays both husband and wife’s personalities.

PRIVE EC [1]

An experimentation of using leather-like laminate on carpentry brings a refreshing touch to this EC. The dining area is customized for smart storage and the strategic placement of a glass noticeboard ensures no item is missed out from the next trip to the supermarket.

Serangoon Central 4-room HDB

A woody theme transforms this flat into a modern tree house. Most interestingly, the recycled wooden crate wall-paneling effectively shields the adjacent master bedroom from the noise and radiation of the TV in the living rom. A whimsical swing hanging from the ceiling lends a nostalgic vibe to the living area.
